As a CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibilities will involve the operation, set-up, and maintenance of CNC machines to produce high-quality parts for the glass container industry, in accordance with blueprints and specifications. Responsibilities:
- Utilize your expertise to operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines, ensuring the production of superior quality parts as per blueprint specifications.
- Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications, facilitating a comprehensive understanding of machining requirements.
- Employ your knowledge of CNC machining principles to select appropriate tools, adjust cutting speeds and feeds, and align workpieces accurately.
- Leverage your experience with CNC machines, particularly those controlled by Fanuc systems, to execute programmed machining operations flawlessly.
- Demonstrate competence in reading and comprehending G-Code programming instructions, enabling precise control of the CNC machines and optimization of machining processes.
- Conduct regular maintenance on CNC machines to uphold their optimal performance and extend their longevity.
- Employ precision measuring instruments to inspect and measure machined parts, ensuring compliance with blueprint dimensions.
- Actively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling, machinery, or programming, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, production supervisors, and fellow team members to enhance machining processes and address any quality-related concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to strict safety protocols.
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ CNC machine experience required, using Horizontal mills highly preferred (Mazak & Mitsubishi nice to have) or 3+ Vertical mills (HAAS mills nice to have)
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Extensive knowledge and skill in setting up CNC machines, including tool selection and adjustment of cutting parameters.
- Strong familiarity with FANUC controls and demonstrated expertise in operating CNC machines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting G-Code programming.
- Ability to meticulously inspect and measure machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Experience with horizontal mills such as Mazak and Mitsubishi, or vertical mills like HAAS
