We are seeking an Industrial Engineer with a focus on Manufacturing Ergonomics to support the successful launch of future vehicle programs at our client. In this role, you will ensure assembly line jobs, workstations, tools, and material handling systems are designed to be safe, efficient, and ergonomically sound before production begins.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in: Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in: Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Ergonomics Engineering or Automotive Manufacturing
- Experience performing ergonomic risk assessments in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of assembly processes and workstation design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and plant teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive manufacturing or vehicle assembly operations.
- Familiarity with Digital Human Modeling (DHM) software and ergonomic simulation tools.
- Experience working with CAD models in a manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing Day-to-Day
- Reviewing future assembly line jobs before production starts.
- Using CAD and simulation tools to identify ergonomic concerns.
- Evaluating workstation layouts, tooling, and material presentation methods.
- Working with engineers to redesign tasks that may lead to injuries or inefficiencies.
- Supporting assembly line readiness during vehicle launches.
- Participating in shutdown and critical launch support activities when required.
- Driving continuous improvements that enhance employee safety, quality, and productivity.
