Kadinger’s Salvage and Recycling (KAD) is looking for a End of Life Vehicle Dismantler in our vehicle recycling operations. As a small business we can offer a ton of variety and flexibility for the right candidate.
In this role you will have primary responsibility for vehicle recycling and scrap operations.

The ELV Dismantler safely de pollutes and dismantles end of life vehicles (ELVs) by removing fluids, batteries, tires, catalytic converters, and reusable or recyclable components.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Intake & Identification – verify and complete paperwork, stage units in designated areas, identify hazardous components per site SOP/JHA.
- De-pollution and Component Removal – Drain and properly containerize all fluids including but not limited to; gasoline/diesel, motor oil, ATF, coolant using approved tools and spill-prevention methods.
- Operate hand/power tools, fluid evacuation systems, hoists and mobile equipment.
- Follow SWPPP practices including maintaining good organization and housekeeping practices, minimizing spills and hazards.
- Meet daily dismantling targets while protecting recoverable parts, minimizing contamination and ensuring material organization.
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
- General labor duties include, sorting / cutting / processing / sweeping and moving material with forklifts.
- Packaging material for transport.
- Operate mobile heavy equipment of various sizes and types (front end loader, skid steer, grapple and magnet material handlers).
- Perform daily inspections on equipment and report any defects or repairs needed to supervisor.
- Clean equipment as needed.
- Inspect material brought in by our customers for existence of non-acceptable items and ensure that those prohibited materials are not left on Company property. Examples are propane tanks, batteries, etc.
- Interact with customers and team members to facilitate a safe and productive yard environment.
