Michigan Modern Psychology (MMP) is looking to fill full time (30-35 appts/week) and part time (10-15 appts/week) positions at our Dearborn and Brownstown locations.
The clinic offers flexibility in scheduling so the ideal candidate is open to working some evenings and/or weekends to accommodate the growing demands of the Metro Detroit community. We are specifically looking for clinicians who are interested in seeing clients in a face-to-face setting for individual and family/couples therapy, preferably open to working with children and adolescents. Our Dearborn and Brownstown locations are our main focus at this time.
MMP has been around for 30 years, accepts most insurances, and places an emphasis on clinical development through peer-to-peer relationships, ongoing training, guest supervision, and other educational opportunities. MMP is a private practice that supports the success and advancement of our clinical staff.
Job functions:
- Must be able to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of mental health issues.
- Must maintain meticulous patient records pertaining to treatment.
- Must have proficient computer skills, as most of the documentation is maintained electronically.
- Proficiency in various psychological testing procedures preferred, but not required.
- Experience working with children ages 4-15 preferred (high demand)
- Experience working with couples preferred
- Experience administering psychological/academic testing preferred
Requirements:
- Master's degree in LLP Psychology, LPC Counseling, or LMSW Social Work.
- Must be in good standing with the Michigan state board of certification.
- Must carry active professional liability insurance.
- Must be free from having a criminal record.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients, family members, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
