General Labor
Location: Laurens, SC

Schedule: 2ND Shift
Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers to join our growing manufacturing team. This position supports daily production operations and may include cutting, grinding, sorting, packaging, labeling, painting, and other material handling and production tasks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Material Handling
- Perform a variety of general labor and production tasks as assigned
- Use manual and automatic tools safely and effectively
- Grind parts as needed to meet quality requirements
- Cut, sort, package, label, and prepare products for shipment
- Paint, stencil, and touch up products before shipment
- Read and follow process sheets and work instructions
- Inspect completed work before moving products to the next stage of production
- Ensure products meet customer and production specifications
Quality & Measurements
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and drawings
- Accurately read a tape measure and take critical measurements
- Identify quality issues and notify supervisors when products do not meet specifications
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Report hazards, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and waste reduction programs
- Support the company's Health & Safety Program
- Practice the safe and proper use of all machinery, tools, and equipment
- Assist with training and mentoring newer employees as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and blueprints
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Basic understanding of hand and power tool functions
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods
- Steel toe boots required
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to work multiple shifts and overtime as needed
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background and drug screenings

Physical & Work Requirements

- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
- Ability to wear required PPE, including steel toe boots
- Availability to work overtime and different shifts as needed
Nice to Have
While not required, the following experience would be a plus:
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Cutting, grinding, or fabrication experience
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Forklift experience
- Overhead crane experience
- Blueprint reading experience
- Experience working in a steel fabrication environment
