JOB TITLE: Splicer- Support Operator- Heavy lifting
PURPOSE: To splice in packages of filling on the airbag weave machines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Knowledge of all general plant safety rules & absolutes.
2) Operate equipment in a safe manner.
3) Meet production goals set-out by department manager.
4) Follow proper policies and procedures and job specifications set out by department and location.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:
1) Knowledge of support operator policies and procedures
2) Completing daily team maintenance (DTM) activities
3) Auditing safety items in department
4) Splice in correct filling per the lot card on the loom
5) Tag bad packages of filling for re-work
6) Maintain cleanliness of the airbag side of the plant by sweeping, picking up string waste, and properly disposing filling cones.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1) Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
2) Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
3) Attention to Detail-Thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task ensuring all aspects are reviewed.

AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME:
1 Week for Certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: FREQUENCY, AMOUNT, OR DESCRIPTION
Standing: Must stand to splice in filling (11 hours/day).
Sitting: Normal break times (75 minutes). Meeting 10 minutes/daily.
Moving: Consistently moving from loom to loom to splice in filling on airbag machines (11 hours).
Lifting: Consistently lift filling packages between 15-30lbs (up to 1200x/shift).
Climbing: Ability to ascend stairs to enter plant.
Push/Pull/Reach: Ability to reach filling staged on pallets and position it to the airbag loom (up to 1200x/shift) with a 1-2 ft. reach.
Bending: Bend to pick up filling (up to 1200x/day)
Visual Acuity: Ability to read documents, computer screens, and see defects.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud.
Pay: $16.34 - $17.62 per hour
