Small custom cabinet and carpentry shop seeking someone with a strong work ethic and willingness to perform a variety of duties to directly assist shop owner.
Some basic carpentry and/or cabinet making experience and experience using basic woodworking tools (hand sanders, nail guns, hand saws, miter saws, hand tools, etc.) is desired.
Starting out, daily duties would involve improving productivity by helping shop owner maintain and organize the shop. These duties would include sweeping and controlling saw dust build up, removing wood scrap and waste, tool maintenance, and a variety of other tasks. Part processing duties would include hand and power sanding, finish sanding, nailing and assembly. Installation duties to include loading and unloading cabinets, parts, and tools and assisting shop owner with all aspects of installation at job sites and in customer homes.
Willing to provide progressive training in advanced woodworking techniques and cutting-tool operation to individuals with an aptitude for woodworking.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
