Assists the Pipelayer and Backhoe operator. This job has been classified by Premier Underground as being Safety Sensitive and containing Safety Sensitive Functions. Regular use of hand tools. (Shovel, Sharpshooter, handsaw, saw-saw & hammers)
Drive water wagon trailer & water truck to provide dust control during excavations.
Procure material for Pipe Layer to maintain a consistent flow of production.
Use of an upright tamper to compact and level spoils during the backfill process.
Always establish and maintain eye contact with the driver and remain in clear view of the driver.
Immediately signal the driver to stop if any person or object enters the vehicle’s intended path of travel.
Direct vehicles to the proper area of the facility based on the site plan.
Communicate with equipment operators regarding pedestrian traffic and other obstacles.
Must utilize provided work-related items (i.e. flashlights and PPE).
May perform general labor duties on an as-needed basis including, for example, site clean-up.
