Position Summary
The Plumber is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing all plumbing and water systems across MorningStar properties. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and helps ensure that all plumbing systems operate safely, efficiently, and without interruption to facility operations.
Essential Functions
- Review and respond daily to maintenance requests through NiteVision
- Evaluate maintenance issues and prepare material and supply lists as needed
- Communicate repair recommendations and solutions with the Maintenance Supervisor
- Complete plumbing repairs in a timely manner to minimize disruption to facility operations
- Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies and urgent maintenance situations
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing and water systems
- Assist other maintenance team members with campus maintenance projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively
- Knowledge and ability to repair plumbing systems and fixtures
- Understanding of preventative maintenance procedures for plumbing systems
- Working knowledge of applicable state plumbing codes and safety standards
- Ability to adapt and assist with a variety of maintenance-related responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions
This position involves onsite management of daily plumbing and maintenance-related issues. Occasional after-hours, weekend, and emergency response work may be required.
Requirements
· Must have a Valid Driver’s License
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Plumbing License Required
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
