Responsible for implementing continuous improvement tools to enhance Quality/ Yield, reduce Cost, and improve Productivity/Schedule. Initiate and lead lean manufacturing process improvement projects.
Specify and implement equipment and processes including efficient layout and optimization of material and information flows.
Design shop / visual aid tooling to assist production.
Experience with Lean/Six Sigma Manufacturing methodologies for waste reduction, 5S, Standard Work, TAKT, Pull System, single piece flow, Value Stream Mapping, cell design, and manufacturing flow.
Demonstrates technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership.
Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment.
Coordinate layout and work station move activities. Prepares time estimates for proposed projects and evaluates time factors.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required enabling an effective interface with other departments and/or professionals, and capable of representing the organization as a prime technical contact, as well as providing leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals.
