About the Opportunity
Mashawi is an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant entering an exciting stage of growth.
Our existing restaurant will soon move across the street into a brand-new location, and we are also developing a new Middle Eastern fast-casual concept with two locations planned.
We are looking for an experienced restaurant leader to work directly with ownership and help lead this next stage of growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining operations, people development, financial performance, brand development, and expansion.
What You’ll Own
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations and leadership.
- Build strong teams and develop General Managers and future leaders.
- Create consistency in food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, and execution.
- Develop and improve SOPs, training, and scalable operating systems.
- Oversee food cost, labor, waste, margins, and overall restaurant performance.
- Oversee and grow our catering business.
- Work with our Corporate Chef and ownership to evolve the menu while maintaining Mashawi’s authentic Middle Eastern identity.
- Work alongside our in-house Marketing Director on brand growth, customer traffic, promotions, and new-location launches.
- Monitor market trends, competition, and customer behavior to help guide decisions.
- Help lead Mashawi’s transition into its new restaurant location.
- Work directly with ownership on long-term strategy and expansion.
- Help develop and launch our new fast-casual concept and its first two locations.
Who We’re Looking For
This is a senior restaurant leadership position. Candidates should have significant experience leading restaurant operations.
Minimum experience:
- General Manager of a high-volume restaurant, or
- District/Multi-Unit Manager experience.
Ideal candidate:
- Has served as a Director of Operations, Multi-Unit Director, District Manager, or similar senior restaurant leadership role.
- Has experience overseeing multiple locations.
- Has opened, scaled, or helped grow restaurant concepts.
- Strong understanding of food cost, labor, P&Ls, and restaurant profitability.
- Knows how to develop managers and build accountable teams.
- Can think strategically while still being comfortable working alongside teams inside the restaurants.
- Experience in QSR, fast-casual, multi-unit restaurants, or growing restaurant brands is strongly preferred.
Compensation & Growth
Salary: $75,000–$95,000, based on experience, with performance-based bonus opportunities.
This role has significant room to grow as Mashawi and the new fast-casual concept expand.
For the right leader who proves their ability to help build and scale the organization, there is also potential for a long-term partnership or equity opportunity down the road.
