Adult Corrections Officer Recruit (Paid Training | State of Hawai‘i)

What You’ll Do:
- Maintain safety, security, and order within correctional facilities
- Supervise individuals in custody and monitor daily activities
- Enforce rules, conduct searches, and respond to emergencies
- Promote positive behavior and support rehabilitation efforts
- Progress from training into independent post assignments

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- One year of work experience demonstrating communication and responsibility
- Valid driver’s license
- U.S. work authorization
- Must be at least 21 years old by completion of training
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, physical fitness test, and psychological evaluation
Work Environment:
- Rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Overtime may be required
- Physically active, team-oriented environment
