Responsibilities
- Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate educational technology, learning styles adaptability, and innovative instructional design techniques.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management, behavior management strategies, and social-emotional support tailored to middle school students.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and regular feedback, adjusting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, curriculum planning, and instructional best practices to enhance student learning experiences.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming assessments or events.
Experience
- Prior teaching experience with teenagers in middle school settings, preferably within private or independent schools.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, instructional design, and educational technology integration.
- Proven ability to adapt teaching methods to various learning styles while maintaining high standards of classroom management and behavior oversight.
- Experience working collaboratively with teachers on instructional projects, academic advising, and parent communication is highly valued.
