What you’ll do…
As a dental receptionist, you will be one of the first points of contact for patients arriving at the office. Primary responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records and other general administrative tasks.
What you’ll bring to the team…
- Welcome patients to the office upon their arrival.
- Maintain professionalism while responding to patient needs and inquiries.
- Schedule patient appointments, while considering patient and clinician preferences.
- Manage appointment confirmation via the use of automated confirmation system and personal phone calls.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to manage their schedules efficiently and to their needs/preferences
- Update patient records including but not limited to personal contact information, insurances and medical updates.
- Create and maintain patient records in our patient management system.
- Comply with HIPAA requirements, maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Update patient insurance information, completing verification when necessary
- Collect patient balances due, factoring insurance benefit coverage, deductibles or outstanding balances.
- Submit insurance claims and work with insurance providers to resolve inquiries or issues that may delay or decline processing.
- Respond to patient inquiries or concerns via phone, email or in person. The information provided would range from services offered, appointment availability or general office standards.
- Provide instructions to patients regarding pre appointment needs, insurance information and overall expectations for their visit.
- Coordinate with clinical support staff to ensure consistent patient flow, communicating with patients or clinical staff, as needed.

It would be even better if you also had…
- At least 1 year of dental office experience; High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues,
- Proficient in using dental practice management software and general office applications (e.g., MS Office, email, appointment scheduling systems).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records and managing financial transactions.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes is desirable.

We pride ourselves on providing outstanding care to our patients in addition to the wonderful relationships we build with them. Our office is open Monday- Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-2pm.
