American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN-Labor & Delivery for an 8-week night shift assignment requiring SC or compact RN licensure and OB OR circulating skills.

Hospital-based Nursing Obstetrics unit
-
Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
-
36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
-
8-week contract assignment
-
Weekend and holiday coverage required
-
Ability to circulate in the OR required, scrubbing preferred

Uses Cerner EMR for charting
-
May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
-
Active RN license (SC or compact, NCSBN recognized) required; must not be a permanent resident of SC

BLS certification (AHA) required
-
NRP certification required
-
Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred
-
Labor & Delivery nursing experience required, practicing at the highest scope of practice
-
OB OR circulating experience required; scrubbing experience preferred
-
Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, socio-cultural, spiritual, and cognitive needs
-
Plan, prioritize, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with patients and families
-
Provide patient and family education and evaluate teaching effectiveness
-
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver care
-
Perform scrub duties for OB OR procedures
-
Act as a patient advocate and resource for addressing ethical issues in care
-
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, core measures, and patient safety initiatives
-
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted

Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date before requiring a break
