Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Journeyman Maintenance Technician to join our team on third shift. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of manufacturing equipment, auxilliaries, PLC Communication and production issues as they arise . Your expertise will ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards across the plant. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Diagnose complex issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes efficiently.
- Maintain, repair, improve equipment, auxilliaries, PLC Communication and production issues as they arise.
- Operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess system performance.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities
- Support field service activities and collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven industrial mechanic experience in a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge and industrial maintenance practices.
- Certification as a journeyman
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and analysis skills for troubleshooting automation issues.
- Strong knowledge in electrical repairs and installations desired.
- Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills and a strong sense of urgency.
Pay: $34.89 - $36.37 per hour
