Maintenance Director
A well-established healthcare organization is seeking a full-time Maintenance Director to join our team. We are committed to providing exceptional care while fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment for our residents and employees.
The Maintenance Director is responsible for ensuring the facility's equipment, building systems, and grounds are maintained in safe, efficient working order while remaining compliant with company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Schedule and oversee the repair and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure efficient operations.
- Direct and participate in the maintenance of utility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, heating, and other building systems.
- Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
- Recommend improvements to equipment, operations, and facility conditions.
- Order and maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
- Coordinate equipment repairs, upgrades, and facility improvement projects.
- Ensure the facility grounds remain clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Participate in the organization's Performance Improvement Program.
- Lead the Safety Committee and maintain meeting documentation.
- Respond to facility maintenance emergencies and coordinate corrective actions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous maintenance leadership experience in healthcare, long-term care, hospitals, or a similar environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, and general building maintenance.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, life safety standards, building codes, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, staff, residents, families, vendors, and contractors.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and meet applicable health requirements.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be available for an on-call rotation and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
