Midtown Veterinary Hospital is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Rochester, New York.

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), you will work closely with veterinarians, assistants, and client service representatives to provide high-quality patient care and client support.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Patient nursing care and restraint
- Veterinary technician support during exams and treatments
- Surgical assistance and anesthesia monitoring
- Dental procedures and dental radiographs
- Blood draws, catheter placement, and laboratory diagnostics
- Digital radiology (X-rays)
- Medication administration and vaccine support
- In-house laboratory testing
- Medical record documentation
- Client education and discharge instructions
- Pharmacy and treatment area support
- Maintaining OSHA and hospital safety standards
Licensed Veterinary Technician Requirements
- Active New York State Veterinary Technician License (required)
- Strong veterinary, technical and clinical skills
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgery preferred
- Ability to multitask in a busy veterinary hospital environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate and dependable attitude
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently
- Experience with veterinary software systems preferred
Compensation & BenefitsPay
$25.00 – $28.00 per hour based on experience, technical skills, and qualifications
