In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
• Experience conducting classification and compensation studies, organizational assessments, position allocation analyses, workforce planning projects, and class specification development within the California state civil service system.
• Knowledge of classification and compensation principles, organizational design, civil service laws, regulations, and personnel management practices.
• Experience analyzing organizational structures, position duties, and workforce needs; developing recommendations; and preparing reports, briefings, and presentations for management.
• Skilled in collaborating with managers, HR professionals, labor representatives, and control agencies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and handle sensitive personnel matters.
