Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. In this role, you will manage payroll operations, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, and support HR and accounting functions related to employee compensation. In addition to the payroll processing, the job description also includes creating and posting job cost journal entries as well as creating service billings. Organization, efficiency, and accuracy are pivotal in being successful in this position.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using Raken, Foundation Software, and Excel ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger postings.
- Manage benefits administration related to payroll, including deductions for health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy for employee hours, salary adjustments, tax information, and other payroll-related data.
- Reconcile payroll accounts regularly to ensure accuracy in debits & credits, accounts payable/receivable, and tax filings.
- Onboard new employees.
- Support governmental reporting requirements by preparing reports on taxes, social security contributions, and other statutory obligations.
- Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve issues promptly to maintain trustworthiness of records.
- Create and post material and equipment costs. Review records to ensure that all costs have been recorded properly.
- Create and post service billing.
- Other responsibilities as required.
Skills
- Proficiency in payroll processing knowledge. Experience in Foundation Construction Software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, debits & credits.
- Experience with financial concepts related to corporate accounting and governmental reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of benefits administration processes.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets using financial software tools for accurate reporting and reconciliation.
- Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance standards.
- Flexibility to complete additional tasks as required.
- Accounting degree preferred but not required.
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
