OVERVIEWSchroepfer Family Dental seeks a full-time Business Assistant to manage patient flow in a fast-paced, high-achieving environment. Ideal candidate possesses exceptional interpersonal skills, has a high capacity for multi-tasking and developing efficiency, and takes pride in professional endeavors.
JOB DUTIES
- Work within a team to manage incoming and outgoing patient flow.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments via phone and in-office.
- Greet and assist patients with check-in, check-out, payment collection, treatment planning, understanding insurance explanation of benefits, and meeting payor requirements.
- Submit patient insurance claims with documentation of treatment need and imaging.
- Contact insurance companies to verify active coverage, gather in-depth information on plan specifics and explanation of benefits, and resolve claim issues.
- Draft and submit patient referrals to specialty offices for future treatment.
- Manage data entry, mail and email correspondence, patient chart filing, document scanning and downloading, and maintaining technology equipment.
