The Anointed Olive is looking for an outgoing, customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our Ormond Beach tasting room.
This is not a typical retail position. Our team actively guides customers through tastings, discusses food pairings, and helps guests discover products that elevate everyday meals.
Every bottle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar is filled fresh to order, and every customer interaction is an opportunity to create a memorable experience. This is a hands-on sales role focused on hospitality, education, and helping customers find products they'll love—not simply operating a cash register.
We're seeking someone who enjoys working with people, is eager to learn, and thrives in an environment where no two customer conversations are the same.
Position Details
Location: The Trails Shopping Center – Ormond Beach, FL
Schedule: Part-Time, 15–25 hours per week
Availability Required:
- Most Saturdays
- Rotating Sundays
- Additional flexibility during holidays and special events is a plus
Compensation: $15–$16 per hour, based on experience
Primary Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and guide them through tastings
- Discuss flavors, cooking ideas, and food pairings
- Recommend products based on customer preferences and needs
- Fill bottles of olive oil and balsamic vinegar to order
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling
- Restock inventory and maintain store presentation standards
- Assist with merchandising and daily operational tasks
- Uphold store policies, procedures, and customer service standards
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable initiating conversations and engaging with customers
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Detail-oriented with good judgment and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn product knowledge and confidently share it with customers
- Retail, hospitality, restaurant, specialty food, or customer service experience is preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to safely handle glass bottles and inventory
