Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with our restaurant standards, ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are followed. This role requires a passion for cooking, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations in food handling and preparation.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen setting, preferably within the food industry or restaurant environment.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Familiarity with dietary department requirements is a plus.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment, including knives and cooking appliances.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques within the culinary field.
