Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating press equipment to produce high-quality parts while maintaining safety and efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Set up, adjust, and operate press machines (punching, blanking, forming, drawing, etc.)
- Align and secure dies; adjust ram stroke and material feed
- Run sample parts, inspect for quality, and make necessary adjustments
- Perform production runs based on work orders and specifications
- Use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges) for quality checks
- Read and follow blueprints, job prints, and work instructions
- Use pre-programmed settings and assigned tooling
- Prepare setups for upcoming jobs when possible
- Perform routine machine maintenance
Additional Responsibilities
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Keep work area and equipment clean and organized
- Report equipment issues to Supervisor
- Operate a forklift to move and stage materials
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction
- Complete other duties as assigned

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Positive attitude and reliable work ethic
- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
- Forklift certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a manufacturing environment
