Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient dialysis team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to individuals with end-stage renal disease, overseeing dialysis treatments, and ensuring patient safety throughout the treatment process. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional care in a structured, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patients before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments
Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatments safely and efficiently
Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed
Monitor patient vital signs and respond to complications or emergencies
Oversee and support Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
Ensure proper care and maintenance of vascular access (fistulas, grafts, catheters)
Educate patients and families on dialysis care, treatment plans, and lifestyle adjustments
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in NY
Current CPR/BLS certification
Minimum 1 year nursing experience with dialysis experience
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting
Preferred Qualifications
Previous dialysis or nephrology experience
Familiarity with dialysis machines and EMR systems
Certification in nephrology nursing (e.g., CNN or CDN)
