Position Title: Preschool Paraprofessionals (2 positions)
Location: East Union Community School District - Early Childhood
Employment Type: Full-Time (School Year)
Position Overview:
East Union CSD is seeking two compassionate, patient, and dedicated Preschool Paraprofessionals to provide one-on-one support to preschool-aged children with special needs in an inclusive classroom setting. These individuals will work closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to foster each child’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support to students with special needs in the preschool classroom
Assist with implementing instructional activities and individualized education plan (IEP) goals
Support the development of communication, social, and self-help skills
Monitor and document student progress and behavior as directed by teaching staff
Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Assist with classroom routines, activities, and transitions
Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Experience working with young children and/or children with special needs preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting student success
