We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Care Worker to provide 2:1 support for individuals with disabilities or complex needs. This role involves working alongside another staff member to provide hands-on, person-centered care and support in a home or community setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2:1 support to clients with physical, mental, or behavioral needs
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication
- Support clients in community engagement and recreational activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports
- Promote independence, dignity, and choice for the individuals supported
- Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in disability, mental health, or aged care support (preferred)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends
- Background Check
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Respect for client confidentiality and privacy
- Valid Drivers License
Scheduling Needs:
- Sub list is priority
- Some part time hours available.
