Overview
We are seeking a Meat Department Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Meat Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality meat products, expertly prepared and presented. This position requires the ability to handle knives, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness and quality.
- Package meat products for display or sale, ensuring they are visually appealing and compliant with food safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions regarding meat products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to all food safety guidelines.
- Prepare value added items.
- Prepare and set seafood set.
- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate any shortages or needs to management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in meat department is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
- Customer service experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
