Responsibilities:
- Safely operate transport, bobtail and oil delivery vehicles.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for efficient and timely delivery of goods.
- Ensure proper handling and securing of cargo to prevent damage during transportation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues that may arise.
Experience:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
- Proven experience in operating various types of trucks, such as dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or delivery trucks.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations related to truck driving.
- Ability to read maps and follow directions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
