Responsibilities
- Implement academic curriculum (math, science, social studies, ELA)
- Develop, implement and monitor individualized education plans
- Provide daily direct teaching and/or assessment with students
- Manage student records
- Maintain best practices while meeting legal and accreditation requirements
- Coordinate schedules with Therapy Clinic
- Direct Behavior Technicians and other Assistants
- Collaborate with parents and other caregivers
- Collaborate and co-treat with other disciplines
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
- Create lesson plans with engaging and innovative activities
- Adapt lessons to meet needs of students
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- Experience in behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs within the classroom.
- A background in literacy education is highly desirable.
