Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver, Class A is a plus. In this role, you will operate a tri-axle dump truck to transport and deliver materials efficiently across various job sites. Must have tri-axle dump experience in a manual transmission truck. Typical hours are: Monday-Friday 7:00-3:00, overtime and Saturday’s when needed. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and safety protocols will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tri-axle dump trucks and other medium/heavy duty trucks.
- Safely load/unload and secure machines or miscellaneous equipment onto tag-along trailers.
- Follow designated routes for delivery, adhering to traffic laws and company policies to ensure punctuality.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks to verify mechanical safety, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and tires before each shift.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records. Responsible for keeping interior and exterior of assigned truck clean and presentable.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes.
Experience
- Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty commercial vehicles in a professional setting.
- Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and various tag along trailers.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicles operated. Class A is a plus.
- Knowledge of route driving best practices, load securing techniques, and safety regulations governing freight transportation.
