Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Remodeler Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in residential remodeling, carpentry, and general construction, with additional experience in exterior work such as siding, decks, and repairs. This position requires someone who can confidently work on a variety of projects, from interior renovations and finish work to exterior improvements and structural repairs.
The Residential Remodeler Technician will work alongside project managers, clients, and other trades to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard of craftsmanship. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable taking on different types of residential construction work.
Duties
- Perform residential remodeling and renovation work, including framing, drywall, flooring, tile, trim carpentry, doors, cabinets, and other finish work.
- Perform exterior construction and remodeling work, including siding installation and repair, deck construction and repair, exterior trim, and other exterior improvements.
- Complete carpentry tasks including framing, structural repairs, finish carpentry, and general woodwork.
- Install and repair doors, windows, cabinets, trim, siding, decking, and other building components.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, plans, drawings, and measurements.
- Perform demolition, repairs, restoration, and preparation work as needed for remodeling projects.
- Assist with or perform flooring, tile, drywall, painting, caulking, concrete, and other general construction tasks.
- Maintain quality workmanship throughout each phase of the project and identify issues that require correction.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe while following company and job-site safety requirements.
- Work professionally with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other members of the construction team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential remodeling, carpentry, or general construction.
- Strong hands-on experience with interior remodeling and finish carpentry.
- Experience with siding, decks, exterior repairs, and other residential exterior construction is strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform drywall, flooring, tile, trim work, door installation, and cabinet installation.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and common construction equipment.
- Ability to read and understand basic construction plans, drawings, and measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Reliable transportation and basic hand tools required.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be dependable, professional, and willing to take on a variety of residential construction projects.
