American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of experience and required neuro spine proficiency for a 13-week OR travel assignment at a Level 3 Trauma hospital in Concord, NC.

Hospital OR setting licensed for 457 beds, operating 19 OR suites with an average of 50 cases per day

Surgery specialties include trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, neuro spine, cardiac, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-oncology, robotics, general, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, pain, and plastics
-
Three robotic systems available; facility holds Advanced Spine Surgery Certification and is a Bariatric Center of Excellence

12-hour day shifts (0700–1900), 36 hours per week

Weekend rotation every 4th weekend, which may be a scheduled shift or call
-
Call requirement averages 6 shifts per 6-week scheduling cycle, with a 45-minute response time; call hours are 11p–7a or 7a–7p/7p–7a on weekends

Minimum of 5 years of Surgical Technologist experience required

Neuro spine experience is required, including recent and comprehensive experience with Globus, robotic/navigation, ALIFs, TLIFs, ACDFs, lateral, and posterior/anterior cases

Scrub experience across multiple surgical specialties including trauma, ortho, spine, cardiac, robotics, bariatrics, and more
-
Proficiency in sterile technique

BLS certification required

Surgical Technologist national certification preferred but not required

License required if applicable

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Scrubs are provided by the facility; parking is free

Orientation includes a facility-level new employee orientation (NEO) plus 2 days of departmental orientation

Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays

Time off requests require manager approval

Schedules are set on a 6-week cycle

Department support includes service line clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, OR assistants, unit secretaries, and tech engineers

Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast (AHSE) facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
