Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented A&P Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive aircraft maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal aircraft performance and safety. Your expertise will support our mission to deliver reliable aviation services across various platforms, including commercial and military aircraft. Duties
- Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of aircraft airframes, engines, systems, and components in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards.
- Perform repairs, replacements, and modifications on mechanical systems using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and specialized industrial tools.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and CAD models to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, ammeters, ohmmeters, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for accurate assessments.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and avionics using engineering troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) while adhering to AS9100 standards for quality management.
- Support flight line maintenance operations by performing aircraft servicing, component overhauls, and equipment repairs in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
Requirements
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with current credentials.
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance within an aviation maintenance facility or on the flight line.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of aircraft systems including airframe structures, powerplants, avionics, electrical systems, and mechanical assemblies.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, schematics, CAD files such as CATIA or AutoCAD.
- Experience with military aviation standards or military aviation maintenance is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate techniques and specialized industrial tools.
- Proficiency with precision measurement instruments like calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters; experience with CMMS software is preferred.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations including FAR Part 43 & 145; understanding of AS9100 quality standards is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis on complex mechanical or electrical issues.
- Strong communication skills for interpreting technical documents and collaborating effectively with team members.
