Yard Personnel
I.) Priority Duties =
A.) Loading equipment
1.) Always give thorough operating, handling, and safety instructions.
2.) Always make sure item is secured in truck or on trailer per AM policy.
B.) Unloading equipment
1.) Always thoroughly check in equipment using the provided
Check in form. Take special care to check for any damage or malfunctions and note them on the provided form.
- Test run all returning equipment
- Check and refill all fluids
- Conduct routine equipment safety checks
- Clean all returned equipment
- Report any additional damage found and takes action so no rentals are lost. ( Rentals Make Your Pay Check)
- Change oil and filter when needed
- Clean or replace air filter
- Lubricate all points as needed
(ALWAYS USE THE 8 POINT SYSTEM WHEN READYING EQUIPMENT FOR RENT)
**** YOUR JOB IS TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS READY TO BE RENTED WHEN PLACED BACK ON THE YARD AND TO DO SO IN A TIMELY FASHION SO NO RENTALS ARE LOST*******
II.) General Equipment Maintenance=
A.) Use appropriate cleaning method for each item
- Pressure washer, water with detergent, scrub brushes, compressed air, etc………
- Company owned trailers must be kept in working order and in a state of acceptable appearance
- All company vehicles must be kept clean and in good working order at all times
III.) General Grounds and Building Maintenance=
A.) All buildings including but not limited to Store, Shop, and out buildings must be kept clean and orderly at all times.
- All trash cans emptied
- Floors clean and free of obstruction
- Windows and work areas clean and neat.
IV.) Other=
- Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Know specifications and applications of all rental inventories.
- Greet customers ( with a smile)
- Serve as a store representative at all times
- Inform store management of any sales opportunities
- Assist all other mechanic and counter people as needed or when asked.
