Title Assistant
We are hiring a Title Assistant. This is a high-volume role that depends on detail and accuracy. Each day you will work through a large number of files. For each one, you review it, decide the next step, and keep it moving. Most of your day is email, with some phone work. You will be in regular contact with vendors to request updates, find information, and keep files moving forward.
Prior title or mortgage experience is helpful. It is not required. We provide training and will teach the right person. The qualities that matter most are accuracy, consistency, and curiosity.
Responsibilities
- Review about 100 files per day. Spend around five minutes on each to decide what it needs, whether that is sending an email, following up on a response, waiting on an update, or moving it forward.
- Move files through a set process from start to finish, including front-end and back-end steps.
- Keep in regular contact with vendors. Request updates, find information, and respond as new details come in.
- Work across many open files at once while staying accurate, efficient, and fast.
- Notice patterns and apply what you have learned to new situations that training did not cover.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy. This is the top priority for the role.
- Consistency. You can keep a steady pace through a high daily volume.
- Curiosity. You take the foundation we teach, apply logic, and work out what comes next. You see the patterns underneath the work.
- Self-motivation. You keep files moving on your own.
- Clear written and verbal communication for email and phone.
- A desire to learn and a habit of asking good questions.
