Help build a growing American natural products company.
We're looking for a highly organized, dependable person to coordinate manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics with our U.S. and international partners. You'll become a primary point of contact with manufacturers, suppliers, freight providers, and logistics partners, helping ensure materials and finished products move from suppliers through manufacturing and final delivery on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate production with U.S. manufacturers and contract manufacturers
- Place production, raw material, and packaging orders
- Monitor inventory and production schedules
- Coordinate domestic and international freight, including ocean/container shipments
- Work with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and receiving facilities
- Coordinate import documentation, customs clearance, port/drayage arrangements, and final delivery
- Obtain and compare freight and logistics quotations
- Communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, packaging vendors, and freight providers
- Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with new contract manufacturers (copackers) as we grow
- Resolve day-to-day production, purchasing, and logistics issues
Qualifications
- Highly organized and dependable
- Excellent phone and email communication skills
- Strong follow-through and attention to detail
- Comfortable coordinating multiple vendors and shipments simultaneously
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
Experience in manufacturing, purchasing, operations, logistics, importing, or supply chain is required.
Experience with international freight, ocean shipments, customs brokers, bulk liquids/flexitanks, liquid contract manufacturing (copackers), or packaging materials is strongly preferred.
Approximately 15 hours per week initially
Monday–Friday mornings (Central Time preferred)
