Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that delight our guests, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supporting the overall kitchen operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills within a dynamic resort setting.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing to ensure freshness and variety.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to uphold health standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including knives and slicing tools, adhering to safety standards in production.
- Support food preparation for catering events and special functions, ensuring timely service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and serve dishes efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for restocking ingredients or supplies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as restaurant, catering, or dietary departments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated culinary experience with strong knife skills and slicing techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments.
- Experience with meal preparation, food handling, and food service operations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving guests.
- Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus but not required.
