Candidates must live within a 45-minute commute to our campus in Loveladies, LBI. This position is not remote.

Duties
- Install and de-install art exhibition; pack and ship artwork; catalog artwork. (Proficiency in art handling practices)
- Coordinate exhibition setup and takedown, including object care and installation logistics.
- Assist with the care, cataloging, and documentation of art online, in print, and inhouse.
- Proficiency with graphics for various projects in online: website, social media, marketing, advertisements. Proficiency with Adobe Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator is highly desirable.
- Support a variety of art educational programs
- Administration and clerical (Proficiency in MS Office Suite)
- Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries in person or via phone/email with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Welcome visitors, provide information about current exhibitions, and ensure a positive experience for all guests
- Support sales of artwork
- Support team management tasks such as scheduling staff or volunteers for gallery events and programs.
Qualifications
- BFA is a minimum requirement. MFA degree is an asset.
- A Graphic Design, Photography, Digital Media, and/or Marketing skill set is an asset.
- Proven experience working in museums, galleries, or nonprofit arts organizations with knowledge of collection management practices
- Excellent communication skills, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with social media management tools for content creation and outreach campaigns
- Ability to handle object care responsibly while maintaining attention to detail in cataloging and preservation tasks.
- Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
