Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories through expert product knowledge and active listening.
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and ensuring the availability of high-demand items using inventory management systems like CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with professionalism.
- Provide technical support on automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures to help customers make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with service technicians and dealership staff to facilitate order fulfillment, parts availability, and timely delivery for vehicle repairs or maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring all parts are properly labeled for easy access.
- Engage with customers via phone or in person using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to answer inquiries, provide product recommendations, and promote additional services or products.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair processes, and vehicle maintenance to assist customers effectively.
- Excellent negotiation skills to upsell products and close sales confidently while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Multilingual abilities or bilingual skills are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases.
- Experience with inventory management systems such as CMMS or similar software to track stock levels accurately.
- Proficiency in retail math for calculating discounts, totals, and profit margins accurately
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage stock levels efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with customers professionally both face-to-face and over the phone.
