Covina Kia is looking to hire an experienced Service Advisor for our Assistant Used Car Manager position.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is well-versed in dealership used car operations and is looking to grow professionally within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have experience coordinating vehicle repairs and reconditioning processes within a dealership setting. This role works directly under the Used Car Manager and plays a key part in ensuring efficient workflow and timely vehicle turnaround.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writing repair orders for used car inventory and internal vehicles
- Coordinating vehicle inspections and reconditioning processes
- Communicating with technicians regarding repair needs and completion timelines
- Prioritizing used car inventory and lot vehicles to meet sales deadlines
- Monitoring repair status and ensuring vehicles are completed efficiently
- Reviewing technician recommendations and approving repairs within established guidelines
- Maintaining repair cost controls and recon budgets
- Working closely with the Used Car Manager and Sales Department
- Ordering parts and coordinating with the Parts Department
- Ensuring warranty submissions and policy repairs are processed correctly
- Tracking turnaround times to minimize inventory aging
- Verifying completed repairs and quality prior to vehicle delivery to sales
- Managing internal billing and ensuring repair orders are coded accurately
- Coordinating sublet repairs including glass, upholstery, alignment, and body work
- Assisting in maintaining shop workflow and technician productivity
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous dealership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of automotive repair and reconditioning processes
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or other dealership management systems preferred
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with used car reconditioning is a major plus
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
- Full-time position
- Compensation will be determined during the interview process and will be based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the position

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
