American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring Neuro PCU experience and Epic proficiency, with night shift scheduling and float requirements across multiple facilities.

30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a primary focus on medical neurological patients

Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD) provides monitoring surveillance for patients on the unit
-
Common procedures and equipment include CVA management, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, and Yale Swallowing Screen
-
Epic EMR experience is mandatory
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Rotating weekends required
-
Floating required across all health system facilities as needed

Scheduling is managed in 6-week periods via a self-scheduling system through Optilink

Active NC or Compact RN license required
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Neuro PCU experience required
-
Epic EMR experience required

Previous Charge RN experience preferred

Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Provide progressive care nursing to medical neurological patients in coordination with centralized cardiac monitoring support

All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
