We are a growing, national property management firm seeking an experienced Leasing Consultant for our 700+ apartment community in the Strongsville area in Ohio. The candidate must be self-motivated, organized, resourceful, have great customer service skills and learn quickly.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet, engage, and assist prospective residents with enthusiasm and professionalism in office and on the phone
- Conducting all leasing activities, including showing units, follow-up with prospects, and marketing
- Conduct property tours and highlight community features and apartment amenities
- Maintain knowledge of current apartment availability, pricing, and lease terms
- Process rental applications and lease agreements in accordance with company policies
- Focus on retention activities including lease renewals and identifying community events to foster a feeling of community
- Establishing and maintaining good rapport and communication with residents, vendors, staff, and other customers as needed
- Complete reports as requested by property manager
- Follow all policies and procedures and follow all Fair Housing guidelines
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the leasing process, including touring, closing, and follow-up. While prior experience in apartment leasing is preferred, it’s not required if you have a background in sales or hospitality and a strong desire to succeed in property management. You should be comfortable handling leads, presenting apartment features with confidence, and guiding prospective residents through the application and leasing process. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to stay motivated and meet leasing goals. Above all, we're looking for someone who enjoys building rapport, thrives in a team environment, and is passionate about helping people find a place to call home.
