Duties
- Assist clients in selecting products through engaging demonstrations of lighting, fixtures, and interior design options, ensuring their needs are met with personalized solutions
- Support the design team by preparing layout designs, sketches, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings for remodeling and renovation projects
- Manage inside sales activities by upselling products, closing deals, and processing transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash handling procedures
- Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, product knowledge sharing, and follow-up to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for product demos, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maintain an attractive showroom environment
- Assist with maintaining organized stock levels, merchandising displays, and fixture sales to optimize retail space and enhance customer experience
- Support project coordination including site visits for remodeling or renovation projects, ensuring timely execution and quality standards are met
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales or inside sales with a focus on high-end products such as lighting or interior fixtures
- Strong technical skills including proficiency in SketchUp, CAD software, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and POS systems
- Knowledge of lighting design, layout design, remodeling processes, and construction experience is highly desirable
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse clientele effectively
- Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential for client interaction and team collaboration
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations, estimating costs, and handling cash transactions confidently
- Organizational skills that enable efficient stocking, merchandising, scheduling site visits, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
