Event Staff

Shirley Acres is hiring reliable, hardworking event staff to help our weddings and events run smoothly from start to finish. If you're a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in a job well done, we'd love to have you join our team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Setting up and breaking down event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, and décor
- Assisting guests throughout the event and providing excellent, friendly service
- Supporting vendors (catering, DJs, florists, planners, etc.) as needed to keep events on schedule
- Keeping event spaces and grounds clean and presentable throughout the night
- Helping with general event-day tasks as directed by venue management
What We're Looking For
- Availability on nights and weekends is a must — this is when the vast majority of our events take place.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods and able to lift 25 pounds or more, including moving event equipment such as tables, chairs, and décor
- A positive, professional attitude, even during long or high-pressure event days
- Team player who communicates well and takes direction easily
- Prior event, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
Schedule & Pay
- Hours: Vary week to week depending on our event schedule — flexibility is important
- Availability required: Nights and weekends
- Pay: $12–$15/hour, depending on experience
