Position Summary:
The Dock Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of all assigned JetRide locations. As the link between the docks and District Manager, the position is of high importance to ensure the functionality of JetRide’s dock operations. The goal is to improve operational efficiencies and enhance the member experience. The Dock Manager must be service minded to ensure that JetRide provides the best member experience possible. Communication and attention to the details are essential for high performance in the dock management position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing day-to-day dock operations at assigned dock(s)
- Create a positive work environment
- Create a positive experience for all JetRide members
- Responsible for staff recruiting activities within assigned location(s)
- Creating and managing weekly schedules for dockhands within location(s)
- Implementing and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Overseeing and scheduling staff trainings
- Responsible for reporting any major vessel or staff issues to the District Manager
- Managing vessel cleaning process
- Approving all staffing scheduling adjustments due to inclement weather or low reservation volume
- Managing vendor relationships within location(s)
- Ensure location maintains JetRide Dock Guide policies and procedure
- Identify improvements and make recommendations to management
- Perform Dockhand and/or Senior Dockhand duties as needed
- Review proper jet ski operation with members
- Ensure all required documentation, FWC signage and Dock Guide are available, legible and up-to-date
- Cover shift needs in the event of peak demand and/or staffing needs
Required Experience:
- The Dock Manager is expected to possess proven leadership experience in a management role where strong decision-making skills are essential.
- ability to effectively lead and motivate staff while ensuring high operational standards and dock performance.
- ability to proactively receive and implement directives from the Operations Manager.
- Demonstrate strong communication, adaptability, and initiative in operational improvements.
- Flexibility, responsiveness, and a hands-on leadership approach are critical to success in this role.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to support overall organizational goals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
