OVERVIEW:
Ellicott Hotels is seeking a highly motivated individual who has an eye for detail to join our team as a housekeeper. You will play a key role at our Country Inn Hotel located at 164 B Salde Ave West Seneca, NY 14224. In this role, you will maintain and provide a clean, inviting, and well-kept guest room for hotel guests. Ensure that guest room cleaning is completed within the time allowance as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures; while maintaining total guest satisfaction. If you consider yourself to be highly organized, efficient with your work and love the smell of clean laundry, this is the job for you!
The ideal candidate MUST have availability to work Saturday and Sundays.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (To include but not limited to)
- Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including, but not limited to, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, etc. May include cleaning of the kitchen areas, room refrigerator, coffee maker, cups, glasses, silverware, etc.
- Be mindful and respectful of guests’ privacy. Understand the need to keep guest information, employee information, and company information confidential at all times.
- Take an active interest in guest satisfaction, ensuring guests will have a pleasant experience (even if that means extra towels!)
- Prepare and stock all housekeeping carts before leaving for the day.
- Maintain and secure inventory of all linen, terry, housekeeping, and chemical products always. Monitor and control supplies, amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
- Respond to guests’ complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
- Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
- Ability to be punctual, dependable, and flexible in a hotel environment. May regularly assist with deep-cleaning projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be available weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Must be comfortable with constant standing/reaching/bending/pushing/pulling through a standard workday, as periods of walking.
-Ability to effectively communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to ensure understanding.
-Willingness to take pride in job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
-Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
-Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
