Job Summary
Wolfe Ridge MFG is a leader in firewood equipment manufacturing and sales. We build high-quality log splitters and firewood machines used by customers across the country. We are hiring an Entry-Level Pre-Assembly Technician to help prepare parts and support machine assembly in our Eau Claire, WI shop. This is a great entry-level manufacturing job for someone who likes tools, machines, hands-on work, and learning new skills. You do not need years of experience. We will train the right person.
What You’ll Do
· Prepare parts for firewood equipment assembly.
· Install parts like axles, cylinders, fittings, decals, and hardware.
· Help build hydraulic hoses, wire harnesses, and small subassemblies.
· Use hand tools, power tools, drills, taps, and shop equipment safely.
· Pick parts, restock supplies, and keep parts moving to the right area.
· Clean, paint, prep, and organize parts when needed.
· Help keep the shop clean, safe, and organized.
· Support assembly, welding, warehouse, and shipping teams as needed.

Helpful, But Not Required
· Manufacturing, assembly, shop, warehouse, or production work.
· Automotive, farm equipment, small engine, trailer, or repair experience.
· Hydraulic hose, fittings, wiring, drilling, tapping, or painting experience.
· Forklift experience or interest in learning.

Physical Requirements
· Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Heavier items may need help or lifting equipment.
· Stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and use your hands during the shift.
· Use tools, shop equipment, and production materials safely.
· Work around steel parts, hydraulic parts, engines, noise, dust, and changing temperatures.
· Wear required safety gear, such as safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and hearing protection.
Work Environment
· Hands-on manufacturing shop work.
· Daily teamwork with assembly, welding, warehouse, shipping, and leaders.
· Work may change based on what the production team needs that day.
· Some days may move fast when parts or machines are needed quickly.
Employment Notes
This is a non-exempt, hourly job. Overtime is handled under federal and Wisconsin wage rules.
