Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced tools and equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and vehicle inspections to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
- Repair or replace faulty components including brakes, suspension parts, engines, transmissions, and other critical systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to assemble, disassemble, or repair vehicle parts with precision.
- Execute heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy vehicle components during repairs or replacements.
- Diagnose complex problems related to automotive systems and develop effective repair strategies.
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing vehicle maintenance.
- Assist in the sales process by advising customers on necessary repairs or upgrades based on diagnostic findings.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with power tools, welding equipment, and during heavy lifting tasks.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive / powersports repair and maintenance.
- Experience is highly preferred to ensure familiarity with multiple brands.
- Service technician experience demonstrating proficiency in diagnosing automotive issues accurately.
- Solid mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, engines, transmissions, and electrical components.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and software to efficiently identify problems.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized automotive repair tools effectively.
- Experience with vehicle assembly/disassembly processes and performing repairs involving welding or soldering is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards.
