Job Summary
Ashreynu is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Teen Leader to inspire and guide youth in our Jewish community programs. As a Teen Leader, you will serve as a positive role model, facilitate engaging activities, and support the development of teens through dynamic leadership and mentorship. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in youth development, team leadership, and program facilitation. The ideal candidate is energetic, compassionate, and brings a fun energy to motivating Jewish teens to stay organize as a cohesive group.
Duties
- Lead/teach and supervise teen participants during various activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times (offsite/onsite).
- Organize teen trips to Jewish sites of interest around NYC, like museums, experiences, holiday celebrations, etc.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate youth group activities onsite that promote personal growth, teamwork, and community involvement. Arts, Jewish learning activities, sports, etc.
- Maintain a positive environment.
- Collaborate with staff and parents to develop age-appropriate programming tailored to teens’ interests and developmental needs.
Experience
- Required: Prior experience working with teens in a Jewish setting.
- Required: Demonstrated ability in youth supervision roles.
- Required: Experience facilitating youth group activities or leading team-based projects.
- Important: Curricular approach to teen programs is needed to create meaningful experiences that will be of value to community families.
